To improve visibility and safety for drivers and pedestrians, the landscaping on the west side of Grappenhall Drive just below Whiston drive is undergoing changes. For the first phase of these changes, the wax myrtles were removed and new, low-growing shrubs were added. The Board is continuing to work with our landscape contractors to finalize long-term plans for this area.
The Board of Directors initiated this change as a response to homeowner comments and complaints in an attempt to improve the safety of pedestrian and vehicle traffic at this intersection. Our new landscaping contractor, TruGreen, did a fantastic job, and we are confident that the new growth will be quite attractive.
While a few have expressed disappointment in this drastic change, the Board has received many positive responses, and we are confident that visibility is greatly improved on this corner.
The Board is committed to continuing to work with our landscape professionals and homeowners to make Whitehall Manor an attractive neighborhood. If you have any input, please contact us.
